The Beauty in a New Year, a New Decade

Happy New Year!! We’ve been in 2020 for a few weeks now, and admittedly I’ve recently started to feel excited for this new year and decade. Well maybe for about a little over a week. (Thank God for prayer and fasting).

2019 didn’t end as I would have liked or planned. Quarter 4 delivered some gut-wrenching blows, the majority of them unexpectedly. I fought a lot of silent battles and throughout those last 3 months, I constantly told myself and others that I was “fine” or “good”, when in fact I was not. I was told recently while having a much-needed conversation with my coach, that it was okay to feel the feelings of hurt, disappointment, fear, anger, to go through the motions, to take the time to work through the mental and emotional blocks, but I could not stay in this state. Thank you Sharnikya!

Despite what I experienced at the end of 2019, I can honestly say 2019 was a blessing. I was able to experience many celebrations and accomplishments, not only in my life but in the life of family and friends. 2019 also allowed me to see the fruition of a dream achieved, a goal accomplished. And for that alone, I’m thankful.

What’s crazy is even though I entered the year despondent, within the first few days the Lord decided to continue to show me that His hand is and will forever upon me. At the end of 2019 I experienced unexpected blows, but I began the year with unexpected blessings. Therefore, I will continue to be grateful for His grace, His mercy, His love. And even without the the unexpected blessings, the Lord is still good. That’s really my guy!

So although it took me a few weeks, I’m welcoming this new year and new decade with renewed VISION and CLARITY. This year will be a year of elevation, restoration, continued love and abundance. I’m moving forward knowing that whatsoever is for me will not pass me by.

This will be a GREAT year!! I’m praying it, claiming it, manifesting it, AND affirming it — Personally, Spiritually, Financially, Physically, Relationally and Professionally. Not for myself, but for you all as well. I can not wait to dole out messages consisting of “Congratulations!”, “Yeeesss!!” and “I’m So Proud of You!!” to each of you.

So cheers to 2020!! Let’s Go!

Forever in Awe,
